Photography

I am a very enthusiastic amateur at photography, and I love taking pictures of the local region. I am especially interested in interesting combinations of colours (sunrises, sunsets), complex geometric structures (the bridges, the Angel to some extent), water (the Tyne, the Wear, the sea), and quirky local features (the Shoe Tree, the worn gravestones at Tynemouth). I am especially known for obsessing over the High Level Bridge over the Tyne, to the extent that I have taken over a hundred photos of it and drawn one of them!

Every weekend I post my photograph of the week and a few others that I really like. Previous POTWs and links are on this page.

And here are some of my favourites from before I started POTW-ing!

  1. I have only just found your blog and i have to say that it is, without a doubt, one of the most inspiring ones i have come across (and this is coming from a blog-addict!).
Thank you so much for sharing your story with us all xxx

  2. Absolutely beautiful pictures. You have a great “eye” as people do say, but is indeed true about these pieces. Lovely.
